Alessandra Giannini, born and raised in Toronto Ontario is our Featured DivaGirl for April! She studied political science at York University worked in politics for a year and realized she wanted more freedom and started in financial services at 22 years old. Alessandra feels there is lack of empathy and understanding in the financial industry and loves to educate families when it comes to money and finances. Alessandra also recently obtained her paralegal license, which is an additional service offered to her clients and business.

What is your definition of a leader?
I define a leader as someone who leads by example. someone who works with their people not someone who expects their people to work with them
If you can travel anywhere in the world with someone famous where would you go,who would it be and why?
I would love to travel to Egypt and would have love to go there with Cleopatra. Very fascinated with her strong leadership.
What do you do to get fit, have fun and feel sexy?
I work out and I love to get dressed up and go dancing
What is your go to self-care routine/regimen?
Meditate…lots of coconut oil
What is your definition of a DivaGirl? How does being a DivaGirl make you feel empowered and inspired?
Diva girl to me is a group of intelligent women trying to help each other be successful. I learn so much from the DivaGirls I meet at every event. I believe that in life you can learn something from everybody and anybody.
What are your three major accomplishments and why?
Being a mom, being a good friend, staying positive through life’s trials and tribulations
Aside from your family and close friends, who are your other outside influencers and how have they changed you?
I don’t have a specific person, however, I love to study people and learn about their life’s experience which I can apply to mine.
What do you feel differentiates you from your competition?
I don’t see others as competition. I believe that it’s important to network with other entrepreneurs who are doing better than I am, so I can strive to reach their level.
What is the last book you read?
Think and Grow Rich Napoleon Hill. I read it every month
What has been challenging for you as an entrepreneur? How did you overcome it?
Discipline in the beginning. Being your own boss at 22 is exciting but challenging at the same time. I set hourly goals to keep me focused
What is the ONE word that best describes you? Happy
