Featured DivaGirl for June Helene Golombek

June 17, 2020

“I am most proud of the work that I do because I love empowering women to live life on their own terms, to see past their limiting beliefs and to step in to the recognition that they are worthy and deserving of everything they desire.” Meet Helene Golombek, a relationship coach and our featured DivaGirl for June.

What are (3) adjectives that best describe you? Why?

Inspiring – I’ve been told by several people lately that the work I do and the things I share inspire them to think and act differently Encouraging – I love to encourage people to be, do and try their best. Adventurous – I love traveling and trying new things

If you can travel anywhere in the world, where would that be and why?

I’ve been fortunate to travel to a few places I’ve really wanted to visit (Italy being the top one) so I would say Greece. There’s so much history, the water is so blue and it looks like an amazing place to relax and recharge.

What do you do to get fit, have fun and feel sexy?

I actually really enjoy running. I love being outdoors (well, when it’s perfect weather, lol). I grew up not being athletic at all and there are times when I’m out there running that I think if the 20 year old me could see me now, she would be shocked – and proud. In terms of feeling sexy, that’s something I’m working on more and more. To me it means feeling confident exactly as you are and knowing that you are.

What are (3) things that you can always find in your purse?

Lipstick (and lots of them, which is funny because I almost never wear any), a nail file (which is funny because I don’t even care about my nails) and my Chapstick.

What is your definition of a Divagirl? How does being a DivaGirl make you feel empowered?

A DivaGirl is someone who knows who she is and what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. She doesn’t make excuses. She may have setbacks but she doesn’t let them stop her. She learns from them and moves on. I think a lot of people have a bad perception of the word “Diva” but I look at it as someone who wants the best for herself and gets it! It makes me feel empowered because there’s a community of women who help lift me up, who support me, who are care about me and my success. We all need community!

What two things are you most proud of and why?

I’m most proud of the work that I do because I love empowering women to live life on their own terms, to see past their limiting beliefs and to step in to the recognition that they are worthy and deserving of everything they desire. I’m also proud of the work that I’ve done – and continue to do – on myself that has allowed me to change in so many ways and become a better person than I was before. I’m proud of my courage to do this work and the courage it takes to keep changing and growing.

Aside from your family and close friends, who are your other outside influencers and how have they changed you?

Honestly, I’m influenced and inspired by complete strangers I see on the Internet! There are so many amazing people we share this planet with and they inspire me to do better, think bigger, share more vulnerably, and continue to grow.

Favorite Quote/Motto that you live by?

I just re-read this one this morning and it really spoke to me again: Don’t be afraid of death, be afraid of an unlived life. You don’t have to live forever, you just have to live.

I think that is really at the core of what I help women do – live. Too many of us just get through life. I want to change that.

What was the last book you read?

Pussy by Regena Thomashauer. I just finished it the other night. It was a great book and I highly recommend it for all women. It talks about us reclaiming our radiance, turn on and desires and how to use our feminine power to get what we want. Also as someone who has had quite a lot of thoughts about the word “pussy” (as a lot of women do), it was helpful to have the word in my face night after night! It took away a lot of the charge I had around it.

Congratulations Helene and keep shining!
